During the 2020-2021 school year we took part in Creadors EN RESiDÈNCiA, a programme run by the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB) and the Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona (CEB) to bring contemporary work into state secondary schools. We worked with the third and fourth year ESO students at Institut Comas i Solà, in Trinitat Vella, with their teachers Joaquim Cubarsí Romans and Ruth Pleguezuelos alongside us, and Marissa Paituví, from La Central del Circ, as mediator. Juggling should be accessible to everyone, and our workshops are designed as a safe and exploratory starting point. While all our workshops can be adapted for beginners, some are particularly suited to guide you through the first steps of this practice.
What can you expect from a beginner’s workshop?
Beginner workshops offer a clear and gradual introduction to juggling. We focus on establishing a practical foundation, working on aspects like coordination, object control, and rhythm, always adapting to the needs and pace of each participant.
These activities provide an accessible and engaging space where learning and experimentation go hand in hand. They are an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the tools and basic principles of juggling, discovering it in a playful and structured way.
